About The Group
We are a group of rail enthusiasts from East Anglia who would like to preserve a couple of Class 90 locomotives once they have been withdrawn from service. If successful, the locomotives will be mainly used on charters.
With the Class 90s due to be replaced on the Great Eastern Main Line in 2019, this will mark the end of 15 strong years of service for these locos and will also be the end of loco hauled passenger services on the London to Norwich line. The time has now come to start thinking about preserving a couple of locos and giving them a future.
To help towards our aim of preserving at least 2 Class 90s, we need your help and support. If you are interested in helping, have any ideas or would like to know more please feel free to get in touch with the group.
